New sponsorship: Rawdon Old Boys AFC
Here at Search Buddy, we are proud of our northern roots- situated in a small village in West Yorkshire. Rawdon in Leeds has a few close ties to sporting professionals, as the hometown of cricketers Brian Close and Hedley Verity. As well as being a home for Leeds United utility man Paul Madeley.
Search Buddy is part of a superb community with a rich history in sport. It only made sense for us to want to carry on the legacy and invest in our sporting community, as we are proud to announce that we are now sponsors of the Football team at Rawdon Old Boys AFC. This means that we are one of the local businesses that have gathered to support them in funding vital assets for the squad such as kits, equipment, and training facilities.
Sponsorship is so important in amateur football, and sport in general. Investing in the local community ultimately helps to keep the ball rolling and can be critical for the maintenance of many grassroots teams, especially after COVID-19.
Rawdon Old Boys AFC has been established since in 1910. The club has continued to grow year on year and in 2018 they became County Cup Winners! Directors of Seach Buddy, Tom & Ian Whitfield are also involved in the club. Tom has been playing for the club for over 15 years, and Ian has been involved for as long, currently supporting the club as Chairman.
It’s through the help of local businesses support that the squad has continued to develop, with the addition of a reserve team and junior team.
With a wealth of experience in sport, the teams various coaches have continued to inspire the younger generation and will continue to have our full support in motivating the local community to continue it’s passion for sport.
